FAQs

At DeFine Studio, we understand that starting a new fitness routine can raise questions and uncertainties. To help alleviate any concerns you may have, we complied a list of frequently asked questions about Pilates.

Q. First time doing Pilates. What should I prepare for my Group Class?

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a healthier lifestyle! To make the most out of your Group Class we recommend trying out at least two private sessions. During your private sessions you will be able to learn proper alignment and Pilates principles to work more effectively in your Group Class.

If you have any injuries or limitations reach out to your Pilates instructor so they can provide you with modifications to ensure your safety.

Q. How long are the Classes for?

All Classes run for 50 minutes

Q. What should I wear for my Class?

Wear comfortable, breathable exercise attire that allows for freedom of movement. We recommend fitted workout clothes that enable our instructors to assess your alignment and form accurately. Grippy Socks MUST be worn during class for your own safety and for the hygiene of the equipments used.

Grippy socks can be purchased in the studio if needed.

Q. Can I do Pilates if I am Pregnant?

Yes, you can indeed do Pilates during pregnancy. At DeFine Studio, we understand that taking care of your body during pregnancy is of utmost importance. We also recognise the numerous benefits that exercising during pregnancy can have on both you and your baby.

However, it is crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before starting or continuing any exercise during pregnancy. They will assess your individual health and provide you with personalised advice based on your specific circumstances.

Once you have received clearance, seek guidance from our DeFine instructors. They are trained to modify exercises to suit the changing needs of pregnant women.
